Product Code : 03 Product Specification Food Grade Starch Aanilostarch- A is an unmodified, edible maize corn starch for use in food and confectionery industries. Advantages: Anilostarch-A provides: Excellent thickening and binding properties. Stable viscosity. Good mouth feel. Description: Anilostarch-A is a naturally occuring polymer comprising anhy­droglucose units linked together.When an aqueous slurry of ANILOSTARCH-A is heated, the granules take up water and swell considerably in size to produce a thick viscous opaque paste. This property of ANILOSTARCH-A enables it to be used as a low cost thickener for variety of food applications. Typical Analysis: Colour form Fine white to light cream powder. It provides thickening and bodying characteristics for sauces, gravies,puddings, salad dressings, bakery fillings and pie fillings. Anilostarch-A is also used in custard powder and bakery products like crackers, biscuits and baking powder. Anilostarch-A finds use in the manufacture of sweets and confections, as an ingredient in addition to other products derived from starch, such as, Dextranil dextrose monohydrate and Glucanil liquid glucose. Anil also manufactures Instanil pregelatinized maize starch, Pregenil XT pregelatinized, modified tapioca starch and Anilostarch XM inhibited maize starch for processed food and instant food systems.
