Paper Grade Starch
Anilobond - CG Modified starch-cold process corrugation gum powder
Anilobond-CG is an adhesive product specially formulated for use in corrugated board manufactured by DSIR recognised in house R and D facilities of Anil Products Ltd. Conventional adhesives used in corrugated board manufacture have several disadvantages. To maintain viscosities at convenient levels the high water levels cause problems. If on the other hand the water level is kept low and viscosity increased, proper penetration into the paper is inhibited.
Anilobond-CG offers a cure to the paper converters problems such as weak bonding, reduced machine speed, wash boarding, adhesive waste etc. Anilbond-CG is formulated on the principle of the commonly used stein hall system. However, it has the advantage that both the carrier and non carrier starch are present in the same formulation a no cooking of the carrier starch is needed.
Advantages: Anilobond-CG provides following advantages:
- Has a consistent and extremely stable viscosity 15 to 20 seconds by ATIRA Cup having orifice diameter 3mm
- Has good penetration into paper.
- Has low gelatinisation temperature for better machine runnability
- Produces strong green bond strength also in high density paper which resists delaminating during the mechanical operations such as slitting, scoring Cut off and take away.
- Increases pin adhesion, hence the defect of wash boarding is minimized.
- Better coverage with economy.
- Improves stress and strain tolerance of finished corrugated containers.
Pepartion of Anilobond-CG Suspension At Single Facer Flowable lump free suspensions of Anilobond-CG can be made by gradual Addition of one part of Anilobond-CG to five parts of water previously taken in glue tank, with proper agitation. After complete addition of Anilobond-CG the suspension is stirrer for 20 minutes. The suspension is to be stirred occasionally during storage and just also before use.
Corrugating At Single Facer
Temperature The temperature of corrugating rolls, the pressure roll and preheaters should be set at a minimum of 1100oC.
Availability: Anilobond is available in 25kg.plastic lined HDPE woven bags.
